Golf at Candlewood Valley Country Club is being met by our professional starters who effortlessly get you situated for your round, before you check in at our Golf Shop. It is our PGA Golf Professionals who will take the time to make sure you are on your “A” game. It is our Superintendent and his dedicated team making sure the tees, fairways, greens, and grounds are in superior condition.
Golf is the unmatched service you receive by our Pro shop staff. Whether you just shot your best round, or not, golf is enjoying “a round” and comfort cuisine in our restaurant with our welcoming staff and a commanding view of our 18th green. Golf is, after a golf outing, or for any reason for celebration, to celebrate in our banquet room overlooking the golf course, featuring your favorite libations, and New American cuisine.

The GOLF COURSE, at first approach looks to be pretty straightforward – not so! It is 18 holes, situated on 175 acres, and if each hole could tell a story, it would. The Front Nine may yield you a score in the mid to upper thirties. The Back Nine, however, is not as forgiving, think accuracy, and not distance when on the Back Nine and you will fare well.
With a dedicated staff ensuring impeccable conditions, we pride ourselves on having a challenging 18 hole course, with exclusive views that can only be experienced while playing the course.
The GOLF SHOP is a full service discount golf store. Owned and operated by PGA Professional Eddie Slattery, the Golf Shop offers custom club fitting, men’s and ladies clothing, footwear, balls, bags, gloves and any special orders for your golfing needs.
Most major equipment manufacturers are represented and include: Titleist, Footjoy, Cobra, Callaway, Ping, Bag Boy and Tour Edge. Clothing brands include: Nike, Ashworth, Cutter & Buck, Greg Norman, SDI, Footjoy, Page & Tuttle, Sunderland of Scotland and Fidra.
The CLUB HOUSE is the hub of all things golf! The restaurant offers a commanding view of the 18th green, while offering a comfortable atmosphere to unwind after going the distance. Whether it’s at a table in the restaurant, our screened in porch, or on one of our plush leather couches in the café, sit back and relax!
We have a popular array of beverages for your enjoyment, including hand crafted brews and six draft beers. Our dining menu is comfort! Enjoy one of our mouth watering burgers, fresh salads, tempting appetizers, our ever popular wraps, or a towering club sandwich.
The BANQUET ROOM offers spectacular views overlooking the golf course. Located on the second floor of the clubhouse, our banquet room is decorated in Traditional New England Style charm to create an elegant, yet, intimate and relaxed environment. Our friendly, attentive, and professional staff will ensure your event runs with ease.
Our cuisine is New American, we take the comfort foods from around the globe that are popular, and put a fresh spin on them! You will enjoy the peace of mind, and freedom of flexibility, as we book only one function per day.
Our banquet room is available for events that are attended by 60 to 110 guests, and in accordance with CT State Law, our facility is a smoke-free environment.
